Sounds like a lot of fun ... if only I didn't have to drive 2,500 miles to get there.

I am thinking of attending this year. Do I have to register to attend as well as if I want to camp out Friday and Saturday night? So $60 total if preregistering?

Not quite sure I understand your question. They encourage you to pre register, from the Winter Camping Symposium website, which you can two either of two ways. Your can prepay via PayPal for the event, for camping and for meals. You can also pre register and pay upon arrival.

If you choose to attend one or more of the many classes that are offered, you need to contact the class instructors for payment of materials, etc. In addition to many classes, there are a number of hour long seminars, which are at no additional charge.

They encourage pre registration for obvious reasons so they can plan for meals, etc. However, you could register when you arrive if you choose, but you may not be able to purchase meals.

Pre Registration is $30......Registering at the gate is $40
Camping fee is $30.

I love attending the Winter Camping Symposium. Can't wait.

Hope this answers your questions.
