The "Goat Portage" between Sarah and McIntyre Lake in Quetico Provincial Park, 9/13/2015. There's a longer, flatter alternate portage but the portage was dry and we were trying to beat the south wind headed down Sarah toward North Bay.

I would rather go down than up. Wait! No! I'm afraid of heights!

If you have vertical dyslexia, it is hard to tell up from down unless it is sunny around noon.

I have tried several times with various lenses, from various angles, and the photos never really capture the steepness or length of the hill. It's still not as bad as the Heart Attack hill east from Side Lake towards Isabella though.

Have done this one several times, both up and down. This is especially fun with a 17 ft aluminum canoe! This is what dreams are made of.

I've had those "dreams." I think they have an alternative name. Yup, done that portage.
