Location: Hudson's Bay via Sutton river EP: Hawley Lake Dates: Flexible... 2016 Number of Days: 7-10 plus travlel to Hearst Ontario Number in Party: Seeking 1 partner Other: Could possibly trip with 3 partners.. 2 canoes
I am looking for a partner to paddle the Sutton River down to Hudson's Bay in 2016. Cost will be around $3000 (Canadian) plus travel to Hearst, Ontario. The outfitter provides a flight to Hawley lake, and pickup near the bay. They provide a royalex canoe, but everything else is self-outfitted.
This isn't known as challenging paddle, but the speckle trout fishing is legendary. Furthermore, there is a good chance of seeing caribou and polar bears.
I am located in SE MN, and commuting with someone to Hearst would be preferable, but I'm open to anything that will work out.

User0317, I am definitely interested! I've been hoping to float the Sutton for many years. Last year I was all set to go and my partner hurt his back at the last minute, so once again I did not make it. My only issue is that I have a very tight window to do it - basically from about August 15 to about August 28 - at least this year. If you think that time frame will work for you, let's talk. I'm in St. Louis, so you are basically right on my way.
