Wondering what the most nights you've spent in a pma, nctry, kevinl and I are going to try and spend 5 to 7 nights in the Hairy pma, were going to try and see as many lakes as we can without killing ourselves.
Out of control, extreme team.

I think about three, moving through a PMA. Taking a layover can be nice, as you are very unlikely to see anyone. Moving just a couple miles can take a good bit of time, depending on conditions, but you get to see country few do. I think you guys have the right idea: if you get in there, take some time to appreciate it. It definitely has a different feel from other parts of the Bdub: smaller water, but more solitude, almost like more up close to the country. PS, Have not always had the best fishing in PMA's (in fact, my canoe buddy, Tom, said PMA stands for fish 'Pretty Much Absent' on one trip), but think you will catch enough for some eating. In another PMA, we had no trouble getting some walleye dinners, so that part is kinda lake-specific. Will like to hear about your trip, down the road.

I'd also love to hear a trip report when you return. It looks like it would take a week if you're going to hit a bunch of lakes the Hairy PMA.
Our max was three nights in the Sundial PMA. I'd have loved to stay longer, the solitude & peace were amazing. The last day we had a debate about overstaying our permit...which we didn't do, of course, but the temptation was strong.

quote housty9: "Really looking forward to this trip, seeing lakes that many people don't see, hopefully the fishing will be good, should be a awesome adventure, they might have to carry me out of there:)"
You guys have the okay to drag me out if needed.

Thanks, Ben. Looking forward to hearing about the trip! Just changed my 6/14 entry to Missing Link, and I also secured a 3 night Hairy permit. This will be my first voyage into a PMA, and I am looking forward to it.
