When you come in on the north end, just before the lake narrows, there is an island site on the south tip of a fair sized island, east side of the lake. There is a very small fire ring, and a very nice fire ring 50 ft away. There are a few decent tent pads.
Edit: sorry, wrong lake...
On South Agean... Near the pictographs on the south east end, there is at least one nice site. One nice sheltered tent pad (maybe big enough for 2 tents) and a large open rock, not so sheltered but large enough for a scout group worth of tents. Possibly another decent tent pad, but not 100% sure.

Yo Portagekeeper
If I may make a suggestion.........one of the nicest and most spacious sites that I have seen exists on Agean just across from the short little portage into South Agean. It is a site not to be missed IMO. Very spacious with lots of walking around room, a sunset porch perched on a small knob of sorts complete with privacy.........a flat rock level with the water with over 5 ft of water directly below.........an absolutely perfect landing for several boats at once......etc. etc.
It is not to be missed. It is in the narrows just a couple of minutes from the South Agean portage. Look for 2 huge boulders perched side by side on a little knob of sorts overlooking a bay.

MT-That site on Aegean is one Joe (Portagekeeper) and I have stayed at before and may stay there again if we don't find anything large enough on South Aegean. It definitely is a large site for WCPP.
From talking to Claire and Harlan and others there may be a potential spot for us in the narrows near the pictos. Definitely not as large as the Aegean site but it might work for us.

Yes, it sounds like the same site that we've stayed at - great site!
I was hoping to explore South Aegean without the need to portage and to 'hang our hat at a different site', with a different view. All of our searching has brought up nothing great for a group of four.
