As the years have passed I realize that immersing myself in Nature is the real reason I go to the BWCA.

Yes I love paddling, camping and the challenge of being in canoe country, but I now know that they are the means, the 'vehicle,' to the true end of being there, sensing and connecting with Nature as it is known in the BW.

So blessed to have the place!

I agree. My first BWCA trip and especially the Sigurd Olson reading I did after the trip to satisfy my longing first kindled my now passionate love for the natural world. I know I subtly felt and experienced it as a child but I didn't really know what was happening until I grew older and more aware. We are truly blessed to have the BWCA.

Yes completely agree. All the stuff that comes with it is just extra. I just love being out and seeing nature and hearing peacefulness.
