Has anybody done much fishing on these lakes? I am thinking of trying it next fall and wonder if its worth getting a license. What fish do the lakes hold? Any info is appreciated! Thanks.

We caught pike and largemouth on Big Island and Klondike. Size restrictions make keepers hard to find, though.

Fishing big island wilderness can be quite good at times. Nice sized LM Bass, Bluegills, and medium sized Pike. I addition to these you may stumble upon a Musky In Big island lake.
I would get my fishing license, no questions asked.

We have done ok on big island lake trolling raps on the weed line. In august about half the lake is covered in lily pads that we weren't outfitted to fish. This last year we gout skunked after four hours on the lake, but did really well on Klondike.

When is say "we" I mean my kids that were holding the poles the whole time. This is a really cool park, but really small too. I wouldn't head there for the fishing, but if you are there anyway, you can have a bit of fun catching some. Haven't been to Triangle Lake yet, so can't opine on it.

We are likely headed in around the 26th of this month with the goal of heading all the way to the end. I will let you know what we find.
