I have about 25' of 3/4" square cherry left over from refurbishing my Spirit II and am wondering what can I use it for? Can I make seats out of it? I see that most seats are 1 1/2" wide by 3/4" thick so would laminating two pieces together be ok or am I better off with getting some 1 1/2 x 3/4 stock?

Open to any & all ideas, not just what I can use for the canoe.

Laminating would be fine !
I'd use epoxy and filler. Wet both sides to be glued with mixed epoxy. allowing a few minutes to soak in.
Then mix in some fillers, and use that to glue your joints.
