The kids are in the BWCA and called home to alert me they need me to make 2 or 3 hammock bug nets by July 5 for their next trip. Help! I need netting fabric suggestions and sources and a design - so I don't have to spent time making my own.

+1 on the fronky net. Simple and effective. Even without a bottom-closure, bugs don't seem to be able to make it up into the net.

Ripstopbytheroll also has a nice selection of bug netting, they even have bug net kits, for both a Fronkey style and a zippered.

I have made the Fronkey version before and because my net was too long it didn't seal well on the hammock so I removed the shock cord and put in a zipper. So its a bottom entry zipper style which I quite like.... in fact I'll be making another one soon.

This is a project I had considered at one time. One of the web sites I found ( Instructables ) suggested using Sheer Voile Window Panels @ $5 per panel.
