With certain people on this forum that continue to mock the followers of Jesus Christ??

Such as we are "followers of 'fairy' tales"
"lies"- and "wasting our time"
etc etc etc. I could go on.

As one who has a certain gift in apologetics---"But sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts, always being ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you, yet with gentleness and reverence;" (1 Peter 3:15). and has been at it for nearly 10 years--- but it's much more difficult over cyberspace then in person and I don't know how much "asking" said people are doing,, just mocking.,, it really strikes my heart when Christ gets mocked.

To say am ready to do so-- is not strong enough. I go door to door and ask people about there faith on a weekly basis. I have heard it all from witches telling me they are going to curse me in a spell to leading young children to the Lord whom, who brought up in a atheiestic home. 5 years ago, I would have defended my faith openly on this forum and probably showed how foolish it is to believe in such a thing (and probably not done with gentleness and reverence :O) -- even though that belief is impossible (atheism) since to know there is no God beyond any doubt is circular reasoning since you would have to be God to know for sure-- hence David says in Psalm 14:1--" Only fools say in their hearts, "There is no God." They are corrupt, and their actions are evil; not one of them does good!"
But if a persons' heart is not pricked by the Holy Spirit there is nothing I can do,, but maybe plant seed.
I'am comforted by the following verses (among many others) in that when I feel frustrated by those whom mock our faith in Jesus Christ-- I will continue even more fervently in my relationship with the Creator and Lord Jesus Christ.-- for in the end He (and us) wins.

"Don't waste what is holy on people who are unholy. Don't throw your pearls to pigs! They will trample the pearls, then turn and attack you." Matthew 7:6

"Never take your own revenge, beloved, but leave room for the wrath of God, for it is written, "VENGEANCE IS MINE, I WILL REPAY," says the Lord." Rom 12:19

any my favorite--

"Therefore, God elevated him to the place of highest honor and gave him the name above all other names, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father." Phillppians 2:9-11.

Anyone else feel this way at times?

Thanks for reading.

I use to get frustrated but now I think to myself, different people are ready at different
times to hear the message of jesus christ. They can mock him, but if Jesus were there right at that moment he would tell you to pray for them rather than get frustrated. You have been given a gift that they arent reaedy to receive yet, and your prayers could be the key to opening their hearts and eyes. When people ask me how do I know he exists if I cant see him ,and I just tell them its because I look with my heart not my eyes, and I can see him clearly.

Patience... That is the key I have found to sharing! I also try to live my life as an example. My speech and words as a testimony to my faith. As I am a Gideon I am bound to hand out Bibles to unbelievers and spread the word. I also do jail ministry. The frustration you feel, we all feel... There are several sayings you can always reply back to the mockers and those who scorn or do not believe, but many times our replies or comebacks merely serve to fuel their rants... My hope lies in the fact that one day we shall all bow down before the Throne and confess all of our sins, the difference is that I have been forgiven!! Remember the power of Prayer! It changes things!! Keep the faith brothers!!

Patience is definitely key!

My husband is agnostic, but is 100% supportive of me raising our daughter as a Christian. For this, I'm so grateful.

He personally isn't ready, but it doesn't mean I stop praying for him, or get frustrated. Has God not been so patient with us?

My old Navy BFF has recently lost both of her parents. She was not raised in the faith, and isn't sure that her parents believed either. It crushes her to think her parents are just gone, and she has many questions. It afforded me a chance to be really evangelical.

I shared my personal experience, loosing my own dad at age 67 (because he choked on some peanuts - horrible) and how it has ACTUALLY strengthened my faith.

Be patient my friend. I know its frustrating, because we want our loved ones with us... but God gave us free will for a REASON! I pray that you continue to shine like a beacon of light to your friends and neighbors!

I have to, on this forum. But read the "Comment" section in news stories, etc. and you will notice the mocking and hostility displayed towards us of "Faith."

"Mockers" and the like have always been around, however; we live in a society where this has become the norm rather than the exception. All we can do is live by example and pray their eyes will one day be opened.

I haven't noticed this... but always remember 1 Peter 4:14 - "If you are insulted for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you"...

I ignore it and move on.
