I have not done a BW trip in two years now following surgery but have been "out and about" so will break away from the BWCA on this one but it is sailing/water related. Spent time in Algoma on Wed and then went to Sturgeon Bay to watch the tall ships gather and come in to their berths. This one is a group of them gathering just off the breakwater and lighthouse of Algoma, WI.

this photo is truly "wild life" and outdoor related. Gunflint Outfitters had a fantastic staff this summer so as a treat we all went to Loon Lake Lodge for dinner. it was great to get 'off the property' and out of work clothes for a few hours. The meal was perfect: steak, walleye, duck and salmon.
an addition to the Outfitting crew is Kevin, he's in the back. he is Walleye-hunter from this board! Kevin has a long history with Gunflint Outfitters and now he's adding chapter 2 by bringing his wife and 4 year old daughter back to Gunflint. It's been a crazy summer, the learning curve very quick. He is a superb trip router, fishing super-hero and will be the next best manager the Outfitters has had since it opened in 1933.

He's now working for Gunflint? Wow. And are you retiring?
