I was thinking this past thanksgiving on what im thankful for, and just thought none of those things and people would even exist without my lord and savior Jesus Christ. So I just want to say thank you Jesus for every good thing in my life !!!

I know how you feel! I look back at my life and realize the Mercy and Grace HE has shown me throughout my life... without me even asking at times! And I am so thankful now that HE is the main focus of my life and how I live. And I am so blessed by it all...!! It's hard at times to explain the Joy that comes from HIS love in my life.

Exactly!
I'm doing the Jesse Tree tradition this year. Today's reading was the story of creation, and just thinking about the fact that God created this world,
God made the world and everything in it. He had a plan form the very beginning. He knew He would send His Son. Thank you, God, for making the world. Everything He made shows how wonderful He is.

I'm struggling a bit with this stupid pain stuff. Now is when pictures and stuff are kind of therapeutic. Looking through pictures from trips and all makes me give thanks for the awesome things I've been able to experience, and all the good people and even dogs I've been able to share it all with. God put so many awesome people in my life. He has been very patient with me, and now I feel I need to be patient as I go through this pain stuff. Not sure how much more a body can endure, but I'm trying to remain hopeful. I feel like the luckiest guy around to have such good people around even though my kids and grandkids are so far away. I know I should step down from things like the fire department and such but at the same time stuff like that keeps me going. I'm about out of meds... I was waiting for the neurosurgeon s office who said they were hooking me up with another specialist since October. Now they want my personal Dr to take over the prescription which I have only enough through today. My Dr went on vacation until the 15th of January. So I'm back to ball dropping and Buck passing. So I guess I have to be thankful for the pain relief I've had to this point. My fear in stepping back from things is I won't get that part of my life back. So I'm hoping for God's leading in this. And just be thankful for what I have. Thanks for listening to my bellyaching. Haha... But without the hope we have in Christ Jesus you can see how hopeless some people must feel. I'm extremely thankful I have such hope. Thank you Jesus!

Thanks all, pain is my norm right now. But my faith is keeping me going. And I know your prayers are making a difference. I refuse to lay down to defeat. Maybe my pain isn't going away to soon, but my focus is on other things that I feel are far more important. My doctor is really trying. He's very concerned. So I'm leaving it to God to direct him and I'll focus on what I feel God would want to be doing. You all are the best. I'm thankful for your prayers, your insight and your hearts. Thanks!

Read a year or two ago A Thousand Gifts from Ann Voskamp - a dare to write down 1,000 things you love - and now following up with The Broken Way - to pour our your heart as Jesus took the cup - do this - in remembrance of me. Pour our your heart, and your stories, your thanksgiving. <3 Thankful for this group.

Ben - you've been on my mind lately - praying for your neck injury - and praying it heals. I'm spurred on by your mindset... not being able to do things you love - devastating, but your hope and praise of God through your suffering....

My thoughts are with you.

... and all of you!
