Been thinking about using that newest coupon on some of these and I was wondering if anyone here has used them? Would appreciate some input. I'm down to only one good pair of paddling pants, my Piragis paddling pants. But if I could save a few bucks on something just as good........

I have the Dry on the Fly "Flex" pants and absolutely love them. Have 3 pairs! Never had the non "flex" ones though...

Like I mentioned in the Buck Naked tread, I love them. I have pants, cargo pants and shorts. They are light, comfortable, great fit and tough, but don't have that blousy feel that some nylon pants have. I have not tried the flex versions. I highly recommend...

I also have the original, three pair now, and wear them almost exclusively when I paddle. I wet foot and often in water up above my thighs; they dry quickly and do not cling. The double layer at knees has not worn badly even with several trips and being on my knees at the campfire, etc. They wash up really well and I have no stains, even on the knees.
I have had them bind when I have to make a high step during portaging, but have large thighs so do not know if that is something others experience.

I'm with the others, I absolutely love the 2 pairs I have. I've had the same results as bhouse. I'll add that they dry in a couple minutes when the sun is out after a full soaking while wet footing.

How do they do in colder weather? I've only had one synthetic pair of pants, and they were freezing when it got cold.

I have the regular Dry on the Fly pants and the Dry on the Fly convertible pants; I really like them. They are light and comfortable paddling on a rainy day. I have 4 pair of their Cargo Flex pants and they are the most comfortable pants that I have ever owned.

Thanks for the info! I kneel, so good to know the knees hold up to use too, bhouse46. Appreciate all the feedback, everyone!

One more thing. Got ready to order and was wondering if they run "Long" or "Short?" I can't stand pants too long where I get my heels caught in them. Thanks

Duluth Trading clothes run true to size or even a hair on the large size for me. I would go with the size you usually wear and no larger.

So many clothes items are a size larger or smaller than the stated size. I know when I've bought the underwear I could have gone down a size as I'm so used to "Sizing up" when I buy clothes. Thanks!

Arrowhead paddler, the pants are nylon canvas and do not provide much in the way of keeping you warm. A couple years ago they had some with fleece lining and I have one pair of those. They fit a bit more snug, the lining, but are warm. They are my go to for paddling when temps drop.
Sizes run pretty true. I wear a lot of Levi's and found waist sizing similar, but the Duluth pants were a little shorter. And that was fine for paddling and portaging where long cuffs just get in the way.
