Looking for some help. Me and a buddy wanna go up to the bwca for a couple nights and stay in a Yurt or something similar. We don't have any winter camping gear and really don't wanna pay to rent all of the gear we would need so we came across the idea of staying in a Yurt. So we're wondering what outfitters or resorts offer them or if anyone has an idea of something similar, we just wanna get our feet wet so to speak with being out in the bwca in the winter for the first time. Your help is appreciated.

I believe the campground on the north side. From their website:

?"Quetico offers three rustic cabin options: The Log Cabin at Dawson Trail Campground and the Art Studio Winter Retreat (open Oct-Apr) and the Ojibway Cabin at Ojibway Campground."

It isn't in the BWCA but close is Bear Head State park which has 5 winter cabins for rent.

Somewhere near Poplar Lake/East Bearskin has winter wildnerness Yurts.

You may still have to hike out to them, so you'd want to be prepared for that for your day clothes etc.

Welcome to the dark side! I've even now convinced my husband to go winter camping with me! ;-)
