Has, anyone been through there in the last year or so.

I've searched the board, but didn't find any particular trips. I've read that the 3 log jams are gone.

Also, has anyone ever camped on Clay.

For the past 20 years, we've been talking about a fly in , paddle out trip. Well, this year, we are doing it. May Trip. Hopefully all is good. Logistically, we're hoping to be dropped off on Clay later in the day, camp there, and bust into the park the next morning.

Any help and info on Clay and Clay campsites, would be greatly appreciated.

Also, any info on fishing the river would be nice.....

Later,

Geo

Can't help you on the Clay campsites, but in May 2015 we paddled up from Kawnipi/Kawa Bay to Mack. There were no log jams, one portage around the big rapids, definitely have your pole out - definitely...

I went on the fly in trip a few years ago - no trouble on the river. Don't know anything about Clay Lake. Fishing in Kawa Bay is good for smallmouth.

Kawa Bay also has some good walleye fishing as well.
