This years addition of my daddy/daughter trip will be Bower Trout to Swan. It's my younger daughter's (9) turn to go this year. She picked the entry point and destination. She loves looking through my Pauly book ;). Can't wait... this will be her 3rd trip.

Looks like a good trip! I'd like to do the daddy/daughter trip myself, but my wife is starting to enjoy BWCA trips as well. So we'll just stick with the family thing as long as that holds.

Maybe something for later.

You're probably already well aware of this, but.....?

.....be sure to schedule a trip over to Vernon Lake to check out the bathtub and the waterfall between Vernon and Brule Bay.

Have a great trip!

Thanks for the great info! That campsite doesn't get as much love as the other 2 from what I've read....... But your info puts it at the top of the list for me. When I have a duckling along.... a campsite with good shore fishing is priceless.

We had a great trip. Hope to post some pictures soon. From the e.p. to Swan the first people we saw were the 2 guys camped on the point on Swan and they left the next morning and nobody else came. On our way out we saw a group of 3 camped on Marshall and the 2 guys that left Swan were on Bower Trout. So...... on Memorial Day weekend we saw a total of 5 people and 2 canoes. Little duckling caught her 1st walleye and it was big enough to feed both of us ;) She is such a little trooper and a great tripping partner. Bugs were really bad, we left home at 2am and drove 6 hours, paddled and portaged for 4 hours on 3 hours of sleep, didn't get the campsite we wanted, and she didn't complain once or get crabby at all. NOW if I could bottle that behavior up for home it would be awesome ;)
