I received this pack as gift for Christmas. It is sturdy like all Duluth Packs. I love the waxed canvas look and it is water repellent. It has a few pockets for keeping things separate. I love almost everything about the pack except for three things. It has no tumpline like most other Duluth Packs. The hip-belt does help counter this, however I worry about the pack pulling me back on steep inclines. The second is that it is a little to short for my sleeping pad. No biggie there however, because the cover is still plenty long to pull over the pack. The third is the fact that the use of not all leather. The hip belt and straps to make the pack tighter are made of nylon. Overall though I recommend this pack as your main pack. It is great and I can't wait to use it in the BWCA
