Easily a 5+ star campsite. This is one of the best sites I've found in all my time in the BWCA. The site is large and can accommodate a large group The landing is flat and canoe storage is available below the campsite. The fire grate is raised with 270 degree views of the lake. The tent pads are flat with a few options near the raised shoreline with great views. You can also hike up along the south side of the campsite to the west to a raised opening. This provided breathtaking 360 degree views of Kek. We were fishing 2 weeks after ice out. Given the early season conditions, we were catching Lake Trout which was exciting.

Best site that we saw on Kek. Amazing views, great tent pads, firegrate located nice and close to the water with a great lookout. We caught around 10 lakers from shore just on the other side of the firegrate. Also had luck trolling the shorelines of kek for more lakers.

Awesome site! Nice canoe landing. The firgrate area did not provide the greatest seating, but there was a great open elevated view in 3 directions. Also there was a very well sheltered kitchen area away from the firegrate, complete with log benches and 2 flat stumps for tables. Plenty of good tent pads. We had loons swim by 20-30 out from shore every evening. Good fishing around the islands to the SE.
