This day was a loss....we made a big mistake, day-tripping into the wind to go to Bonnie Lake. My map was marked for pike (from an outfitter I had used in the past) but the lake was a bust. We found ourselves amid more people and fewer fish. I wish we had not gone there but we were philosophical about it--you don't know for sure until you try! We were all tired after that day and no fish to show. Still, our spirits were high (though the bugs were terrible and no one we talked to was getting walleye).
