Saturday, June 23, 2007 I woke up feeling much better and after a leisurely breakfast (I bought all the food and did all the cooking) of fried eggs and coffee we went paddling, fishing, exploring. We are not really fishermen and on the whole trip we only caught a few small northern. I bought leaches for the first time and didn’t catch a thing with them.

It rained during the night but the weather is nice. Hot in the afternoon. Several canoes come through today, either going into the north bay of Elbow or portaging through into Timber. There is only one site on Timber and a couple more on Frear. I have camped for a week on Frear before without seeing another canoe.
