I was up a week earlier traveling solo. I caught a lot of walleyes too big for me to eat. I finally caught one under 2 pounds that made for a nice meal. Yes, fishing is amazing this year!

I have seen some monster Largemouth in the shallows that way before while traveling through… nice to see one caught!

We were on the Q side of Basswood for 9 days and the fishing was unbelievable. It was smoggy, so no bluebird skies or Milky Way photography but the weather was perfect (70's-40's). 28.5" walleye, 21" largemouth.
