Congrats Pat - Nice shot!
Makes me want to get out there.
You really captured that Canadian Island Paradise feeling with that one! We will be passing through that way again this year, might just stop in there.

Jackfish,

No, it's not 9U....we looked for 9U and I don't think it is a site....
Our site is on the island.....it was tilted, and on top of blueberry bushes....no real tent pad area but it does have a fire ring under one of the big trees......there was just the 2 of us and we weren't in the mood to go exploring any more after waisting time looking for 9U. Here are some other shots of this make due site.

quote fishguts: "Jackfish, No, it's not 9U....we looked for 9U and I don't think it is a site...."
Probably explains why we didn't notice either spot. That's the beauty of Quetico, though. No pre-set campsites so one may camp anywhere.

That's a great shot, FG. I've been on Ballard, but it was a cold, rainy day (nothing like the sunny day in the pic) and I don't remember that site. There was one down the north shore that looked seldom-used, but this looks like a nice site, although a bit small and "tilted".

Would that be site 9U on the Paddler's Campsite Database? (Can't get the link to post.)
