Doing same - breaking 10 years of going through Ely and plan to enter at Beaverhouse. I have no experience but narrowed to canoe Canada outfitters and Canadian quetico outfitters www.cqo2000.com and liked their responses. We'll see.

We have used CanoeCanada several times. One fly-in with canoe rental and pickup at Stanton Bay, twice with canoe rental and shuttles to/from Beaverhouse and French Lake, and once with just a canoe rental when we self-shuttled. They are first-class. --Goose

Would appreciate any positive experiences any of you all have with an outfitter in Atikokan. Thanks for the help.

I have used Morris camp fo the past 20 years. I bring my own stuff and we get a room for the night. Have breakfast the next morning and get droped off at stanton bay early the next morning, they have our permits at the camp , no need to stop at dawson trail. Morris camp is located on highway 11 Just off the road to stanton bay on pickerel lake. Ask for Moose. web site morris-camp.com. Been happy with the service, but I dont ask for a whole lot. Anthony

Used Canoe Canada last year for a fly in to Mack Lake and a pickup at Stanton Bay. Outfitted myself entirely. They were very good and let us shower upon our return. I would recommend them.

Canoe Canada is right in downtown Atikokan. We have not used them (we self-outfit), but I have heard many positive comments about them.
Which entry point are you using? There might be options outside of Atikokan to consider as well.
