Haven't been there myself, but a threesome I shared a site with near Ranger Bay 2 years ago went there mid-afternoon in late-June, decent weather. They returned after sunset...although the structure and cover in McNaught looked promising for smallies, they didn't catch a whole lot and none of any size. No info on campsites or portage conditions.
