Not to hijack the thread? I thought I remembered reading somewhere that the fly in practice, and maybe the motors was being phased out. The year that always stuck in my head was 2012. Now when I did some searching for this I was unable to find any year much less 2012. The only reference to a date I found was 2015 on Wikipedia. That was allowing the practice to die out through attrition.

To answer the original posters question. I was concerned about this the year I went into Poohbah. We took the gamble and lost a plane landed on the lake on our layover day. We stayed in the islands in the north west lobe of the lake. The plane landed on the main body of the lake and their boats never came near us. I thought I was really going to be bothered by the fly in, but it turned out to not be a big deal.

Was on Poohbah in 2008. Same thing happened to us. Float plane mid-morning, landed south central area. Heard power boat head to SW corner. Never saw them. Plane left later in the day. Next day, paddled over and found the boat on a small island. Wasn't a big deal to me and my son.
