I can't say that I've ever been on Kawnipi and felt it was crowded.

Has anyone been on Kawnipi the last two weeks of August (prior to Labor Day)? If so, how busy was the lake? I know the lake is a faily popular destination, but the park is usually a little quieter that time of year b.c of school etc.

We were there in July a couple years ago. I think we saw three canoes in two days. Going in late August wil keep you from having to experience such heavy traffic. ;-)

I've experienced such heavy traffic on other large Q lakes.
I spent two days paddling the entire length of Quetico Lake in June and saw nobody. It was really strange. On a popular lake during a popular season, you would think there would be at least someone out there. Perhaps they were just an hour ahead or an hour behind me the whole time.
