The island campsite was buggy when we stopped there for lunch in 2011. Site was huge with 2 fireplaces, lots of open space. --Goose

In 04 the Island site looked nice but a little over used. There is a site on the north end. It even has a trail to it from the Elizabeth Portage.
Work the Trout from the north portage to the Island. Rumors of fishing around the island are good too, but never tried it.

Good waldo and lakers around island and along east side. Bass along shorelines.
