I'm wondering if anyone crossed the portage from 599 into Pashkakogan last year. In 2018 I left from North Albany Lodge and paddled north and then back south around the large peninsula in Pashkakogan on my way to Greenbush lake. There was a thread (which I can't find now) about someone doing a similar trip the following year that cleared a carry route from the highway (possibly near the cell tower??) that cuts off the long round about paddle.
I'm heading back up there next month and would love to shave that time on the first day to get deeper in. Thanks

For anyone heading that direction - the portage is "passable" per Wabakimi canoe standards

You might want to check with Jonah Belmore, (807-928-0055) a member of Saugeen First Nation north of Savant Lake who knows the area well and has provided shuttle service in the area.
