Glad you had a great trip. I've paddled through the Attwood system a couple of times since 1986. Nice country.

We're looking for one or two paddlers. If we get two, great. If we get one we already have another guy who will come to make it four.

Had a great time up on the Attwood River. Started at the bottom of Attwood Lake, worked our way up to the top and around the bend in 37C (98.6F) temperatures and absolutely calm waters without a breeze. That really sucks the life out of you.
Next day on to Hurst Lake through a 443m portage, then to the bottom end of Hurst Lake, and it was just as hot.
Overnight at the start of the rapids into Austen Lake then two portages and we were into Austen Lake. Temperatures had fallen to around 30C. Went around the corner to the SE end of the lake and the 860m portage. We said the hell with that, and we ran the 5 sets of rapids into the top west end of Guerin Lake. Lotsa of Class 2-3 fun. Found the primo campsite on the south shore and set up camp for three nights.
Fishing the next day yielded a big dinner of pickerel (walleye for you Americans) and all was good with the world. We went and cleaned up the portage into Yolanda Lake and paddled back in a short (20 min) windy rainfall.
The weather turned nasty all around us but we got away with one downpour and a short shower after dinner.
The next morning was cold and blustery, but by 4 pm we were on the water and at a cabin for the last night. Cary and I went fishing for more than two hours but all we landed were two pickerel and threw back at least 12 young pike. After dinner we emptied the bar and hit the hay. Plane arrived at 10 am to get us back to Armstrong.
Great trip. Great company. Great time.

Nice, concise trip report. Glad to hear you got where you did - Uncle Phil is pleased with the first half of this season.

Both of us are 8 trip veterans of the Wabakimi Project. Neophytes and newbies would be in good hands. Fly -in, fishing, long days, fun evenings.
Tell the boss to hell with it. I'm going. Make things work and c'mon up.
