I know some of you are also active over on Hoop's Wintertreking.com site, but if you aren't or if you are and haven't been one there in a while one of the members (Kaifus) just posted a trip report for his recent 21 day BWCA solo trip - from the east end all the way to International Falls. It was an impressive trip, and he used some impressive and home made/altered gear. 21 BWCA Trip
