BWPaddler: "Isn't that a strange size cub for this time of year? Especially to be out alone?"

That has to be last years cub,now a 1 year old. Yes out a little early from hibernation. But warm weather and hunger brings them out or perhaps a den disturbance.

It also had a problem with one of it's hind feet. I think it ran by us hoping there were some minnows on the ice or a fish. I didn't keep any fish that day or I would have left it there for the cub.

I believe my Mr. Heater fell off my sled on Seagull, Wednesday. Did not realize it was missing until we got home. If it is found , let me know.
Thanks.
Dennis

We also had this little cub join us on the lake.

DW: "I didn't keep any fish that day or I would have left it there for the cub." That would have been a terrible idea. That bear would spend all summer harassing campers. A fed bear is a dead bear.
