Gadfly: "That's a great place to go. Good options for day trips every time I've been there in the winter its been quiet. Hopefully you have good conditions while you are there. I'll be somewhere on the west side of the BWCA for 4 nights the weekend before. " Have a great trip.

Jaywalker: "Looks like a good plan, and that's a fine job on the toboggan build. Be sure to get some sort of scraper, like a plastic putty knife, to help keep the bottom of the toboggans clean. Even overnight frost can add a crazy amount of friction making them hard to pull. One trip I took my toboggan out of my very warm car and tossed it on the snow to load it up, and it had some snow freeze to the bottom making it much harder to pull for the mile or so. Good luck! " Thanks for the tip on a scrapper.

Camping at sawbill campground the 23rd, plan on doing some snowshoe hikes in the bw, and will be able to test our new toboggans, next year's plan is to do a bw trip or maybe even later in the winter.

Great point JW. We have also learned to leave our toboggans upside down when we are not using them to help from this happening. We learned this one the hard way.
