I'm excited! My daughter who spent one year living in Rwanda is now back working for a short time at Wilderness Canoe Base at the end of the Gunflint Trail. She has a break in her schedule so we are headed on a two-night camp on Paulson Lake.
A good friend offered me the use of his Cooke Custom Sewing tent and Four Dog ultralight stove so I am feeling fine about this quick retreat. We will fish a little and enjoy the solitude and cold. Looks like we will be snowshoeing this time rather than skiing so that will be a new thing for me.
This is going to be good!
