Sawbill posted 21" in the woods on Wednesday, I would venture to guess the gunflint is about the same. Lakes will be less, but be prepared for some slush with the warmer temps, depending on where you plan on going." I hate it when slush is present, your feet and everything else gets wet and hard to camp on the ice also.

Looks like a few warmer days then cooling down a bit. Hoping for good conditions in mid to late March for a trout trip.

I wound up on Alton this weekend and you couldn't have asked for better snow and ice conditions. No slush at all, was able to shovel almost 2 feet down all the way to perfect ice. It was great. I suspect it's a big ol' mess now though. Might have been the last good weekend for Winter camping up there but who knows.
