My neighbors in the city are going to think I've lost it when I pitch it and stay out in the front yard testing and tweaking the stove after the snow falls!

Why wait til the snow falls? We did our test run two weeks ago...in the backyard, though. Can't wait! "

We both won't get our tents for awhile, mine isn't coming until end of November. They are a little backed up on orders, which is a GOOD thing!

Mine is suppose to be ready mid/late October too...so I'm optimistically hoping that there might be some white stuff on the ground! I fully plan to test it with or without snow! :) I'm hoping for a trial run down here before my next 'up north' weekend in November! In any event, I'm glad they are busy too!

Sounds familiar, lol. Yea, I think the 3p will be plenty of room :) we are going to try it out in Colorado I think in December before going north, well probably sooner in our backyard hahaha. As soon as it comes in the mail!

Received my 4 man EXP Crew about a week ago, and have been playing with it and the stove set up in the back yard. I am very pleased with how easy the setup goes and the quality of the tent construction. It's a work of art.

Mostly what I am learning is how to use the stove. Gotta burn it some to season it and burn the galvinizing off the piping. Learning the tricks of the pipe and stove damper in combination. It takes a bit of practice.

I built a false bottom for the stove out of some sheet metal flashing.

Looking forward to some colder weather, because it doesn't take long for the stove to heat up the tent in this warm weather.

could you seem at least a little excited about your purchase? :)"

Oh, did I sound excited?? Sorry... Bahaha!

And I don't think I'll have any problems practicing.. I might just move in to the backyard and let Mr. have the house!! :D

You should probably have some candy ready in a bowl for when the neighbor kids come over...

Same one! lol

We were thinking about the 4P but we went with the 3p, we have a hard time getting visitors in the regular months, let alone the winter ones... also getting a medium stove with it and the tent fly...

I can't wait!

Awesome!! I went with a small stove and Duane assured me I'd be fine with it in the style I chose, around and inside the BWCA for short trips. My tripping partners have a habit of backing out at the last second, so I chose a happy middle ground and went with the 3p tent!
