Its that time of the year to start thinking about winter fun. If your not sure about trying dog sledding check out this video of my twin daughters. They are the most natural bwca girls!. They ice fish, winter camp, snow shoe, and love to dog sled!

Try Rock Ridge Outfitter in Ely. Mike Keller runs the dog trips. He is the former owner of The Canoeist. Lots of experience, and an all around good guy!

In the Ely area, look at Wintergreen, which is headed by arctic dogsledder Paul Shurke. Click here for link.

Between Isabella and Ely is White Wilderness. I know people who work there and they are top notch. Click here for link.

There are many others. I think your wife is pretty smart.

She's out of her mind, but I love her. My wife wants to go on a dog sledding trip in the BWCA. Any suggestions on outfitters that do this sort of thing?

I've heard a lot of good reports of people who have used Murphy's!

It's on my bucket list. I'll wait till my boy is a little older...another 6 or 8 years.

somewhat depends on what she wants to do. Overnight camping? Overnight Yurts? Fishing? Day trip? just a ride? There are a lot of different guys doing trips, find the one that specializes in what you want.
