I'll be heading out the week after you for some lake trout as well. I don't mind the cold as much as I do the snow, we will be going 8 miles in so my biggest concern is travel conditions. Hope you have a successful trip.

Thanks Rich. I would have never been able to do this without all the advice I have gotten from you and all the guys here. I am pretty lucky to find this great group.

I had this week off work for a solo cold camping / lake trout trip in the bwca. My boss came into my office a few weeks ago and asked if I would mind putting my trip off for one more week because we have a lot going on right now. I told him sure, no problem. So instead I'm heading out Tuesday or Wednesday. How lucky is that ! Forecast for the Gunflint calls for highs in the upper 20"s next week and close to 30 degrees for the end of next week. Anyone else heading out next week ? It should be perfect conditions if the forecast holds true

I probably won't make another trip until Feb now, enjoy the weather and have fun!
