Nice job on the shoes, I'm sure you just went to the top of your grandsons list. Did you use a whip finish with cordage on the tips.

Yeah, it adds a nice, little touch but also serves as a little bumper pad to an area that always gets dinged.

I'll try posting the second pic again. I have been trying to post these pics for over a day. Before I get them saved, I get a pop-up saying the site is under maintenance.

Guess not. Messageboard maintenance issues again.

I almost got out for an end of the year paddle the other day but didn't have a chance to get the boat out of storage. So I finished off a couple of pairs of snowshoes hoping I'd be able to finally put them to use, besides using them as Christmas presents. The first pic is the pair I made for my grandson. They turned out pretty well considering this was the first of this size and style I have tried. Now I just have to finish making the bindings before the snow gets here. The second pic shows my grandson is eagerly waiting to use them too.
