Has anybody ever skied the Grand Portage? I have a long weekend for Presidents day and looking for an off the beaten track adventure. I was thinking of skiing the Grand Portage, and spending the weekend exploring the State Park/NPS Monument etc. Or maybe just more skiing near Grand Marais!

If you haven't skied it, have you portaged or hiked it? Is it skiable? I haven't been to the Grand Portage and thought this would be a fun way to do it.

Snowshoed it in 1974 only one direction. From the river to Grand Portage. Started over by Bearskin. You will never know till you do it, I do not see any reason not to try and see if it is your cup of tea.
