I read it last summer while working in the BWCA. A very good book.

Also just ordered it to add to my in-trip reading list for this summer...can't wait for May 20!

Just finished The Twenty-Ninth Day by Alex Messenger. The 1st half was a wonderful accounting of a typical far North trip. The 2nd half so gripping I couldn't put it down. This stirred up a lot of good and bad memories of trips some gone right, some gone wrong...fortunately none of mine were as severe as this.

Just got it from the library....took me less than a day to finish it. Hard to put down, indeed!

Such a great book. Once you have had the chance to read it I recommend listening to the audiobook. Alex does the reading himself and does an excellent job. There is something about the author reading their own material about an experience they have lived.

I had never heard of this book. I’ll get the audio for my 10 hour drive to Quetico. Thanks!
