Which of hers have you read? I read "Refuge" many years ago and wasn't that impressed. I've heard lots of good things about it...think I might have to reread it to make sure I didn't miss something the first time round.

Yeah, I've been thinking about giving her another try. She came highly, highly recommended, which might be the kiss of death, so to speak.
I'll pick her up again one of these days, and maybe she'll accompany me on some travels this summer. :)

You might want to check out An Unspoken Hunger..kinda spiritual essays about wilderness and people in the West. And maybe re-read Refuge.
