Glad you like it! I'm sad that I have lost my original copy, as it travelled with me on my first solo trip to Quetico.

OK, so this is a long shot... About 6 years ago I bought a book at the Piragis shop about a teacher who decided to travel to Canada ( I think Winnipeg) and go on this long solo canoe voyage, probably in the 1800's but maybe early 1900's. I'm fairly certain the cover had an island surrounded by mist on it.
I cannot for the life of me remember the title and looking at the Piragis Catalog, I don't see it or anything that matches its description. Do any of you know what book I'm talking about and if so, what on earth its called?
