When I signed up for this forum, it wasn't/isn't on my radar to discuss books. I'm interested in comments about books. Most of my reading is on the internet.

I bring up titles of books that I have read that others may enjoy as well. it doesn't bother me if I don't get any responses. I use this forum to just share titles and look up titles that others may have posted.
btw.....Kindles are great on trips.... just keep in a zip lock bag

if you read a good book, post it, others will read it
if you read a good book and want to talk about it, join a book club
the only books that get talked about here are the ones you don't really want to talk about, they get talked about because they are popular, someone didn't like it, and someone else can't understand why, or someone thought it was the greatest ever written and someone else thought it was no better than the back of a cereal box

I think this particular forum gets a lot more play in the Winter when people spend more time inside because of the weather and shorter days......as much as I enjoy reading, this time of year I spend more time traveling and playing outside.....

I posted and have noticed others have posted with very little if no replies about books. What's the point of this private forum if only a select few get any reply? I posted about a book and nothing. The thread just below this one only has my reply. If we are not going to comment on books that members want to talk about then why have a private book forum? When I saw this forum was available I was so excited, but it has only been a big disappointment. I'm sure I won't get any points or make any friends by this post, but I think it needs to be said. I have tons of books I'd like to talk about or ask, but know there's no point waisting my time as I wouldn't get any reply.
There's my 2 cents worth. I'm off my soap box now

I always check this forum when on the site. I have been steered to some interesting books I would not have known about otherwise. It never seemed like a traditional book club to me but I am happy to hear about books others found interesting.
