Amazing photo! What is more amazing is how often you are able to see something similar to this when canoeing or camping anywhere in the BWCA.

I love the mirror reflections!

My wife and I just got back from our trip Saturday. The weather was not the greatest , but we made the best of it. The first day we got up to S. Temperance we had the craziest sunset. It was Raining and sunny. So we had an amazing sunset starting up to the West and on the other side of the lake was this amazing rainbow, that was actually a " full on double rainbow" at one point. Then the almost full moon rise came! It was epic!

Stormy Sky over Grace Lake
Waiting out a storm on the portage in to Grace Lake from the Phoebe River. Totally hunkered down... gear under canoe, rain gear on, waiting for the deluge as our weather radio was blaring. We watched the storm crash over the lake and stayed nearly 100% dry on the portage.

nojobro,

What a beautiful photo from Little Caribou Lake! And I love the Great Blue Barrel Quest. I have never had a bear charge me like your friend Jerry but I have had more than one sleepless nights after a bear raided our camp.

I have spent hours looking through photos from the BWCA and there is something about this one that grabs me.

I am forester here in Minnesota and I have created an essential oil blend that was inspired by my trips and experiences in the BWCA. What I did was mix several different essential oils to match the composition of a forest found in the BWCA (when I can't be there this helps remind me of the times when I was there).

If you are willing I would like to feature your photo for this blend on my website that will be launching in April.

Either way, I would like to send you this and another one I made that was inspired by the spruce-tamarack forest of the Sax-Zim Bog north of Duluth.

Let me know what you think. And again, no worries either way!

I hope to hear from you soon:)

-Forester John
