It only took 4 days to paddle it why should it take a month to report it? |

quote nctry: "Nice job beaV. That is unbeaVevable. Haha. It was fun to hear your thoughts as you pushed forward. I remember doing some of that years ago. Even in later years I pushed myself time to time to get that rush back. Getting that last mile or lake in is such a good feeling. Congratulations to you and all who finished the challenge. And GrandmaL is so sweet to be on it. Way to go team!" Your humor and well wishes to others at this time of health challenges that you are now facing does not go un-noticed on this board- thanks nctry. That to me is more "unbeaVevable"! |

quote LindenTree3: " Will do. I'm certain I'll be paddling on Superior again this winter in preparation for the next adventure race coming up in March down in Florida. |

quote DrBobDg: " No Pain No Gain should be his motto. Believe me I don't like the pain part of it and it can't be ignored. But sometimes pain has to be relegated to the back burner. Can't think of a catchy slogan at the moment but the Calvin Coolidge quote on my Alaska Blog page says it well and the last line of that- "Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent." is what I try to subscribe to. |

Get ahold of me when you are coming to Duluth next after mid November. I want you to take a look at my Ally to see if you think it will hold up for the rapids you described. Thinking of doing your half challenge next year. We could do a little paddle on the big pond also. |

Pretty impressive. BeaV showed some serious Sisu I’m wondering which boats these guys used? Looks like BeaVused a Voyageur Or Advantage? |

Check out the post in the Trip Planning section - paddlers are starting to commit for this coming fall. |

BeaV, Muddy Feet, and Mzee all completed the Challenge this past September. Paddlin Joe and Mr. and Mrs. Voyager each completed a Half Challenge. Great work by our own BWCA.com members! |

Grandma L: "BeaV was using an Advantage. Muddyfeet a Bell Magic. Yup, that's correct and the other boats were: Mzee- Placid Boat Works 'Rapidfire' Mr & Mrs Voyagers- Wenonah MN2 Paddlingjoe- Wenonah ? solo (I forget, may have been a wilderness or encounter) The "best" boat is the one that's lightest, fastest, most comfortable, trustworthy, correctly trimmed for the load, and most seaworthy for the conditions encountered along the way. Crowriver- Wasn't sure if you misspelled "sissy" so I had to look the definition:) Sisu is a word and the definition is favorable afterall- thanks! |

BeaV is the definition of Sisu. Good story. |
