Haha but not in MN. I would be surprised to see bugs anywhere north of Duluth right now.

Looking for any info on how the bugs etc are currently. We normally do our trips in August and it’s hasn’t been to bad. This year we can’t make an August trip and we are looking for end of July. Anyone have any info on how band the bugs have been during the day? Thanks!

Just got back from a week going Snowbank to Adams to Lake One. Mosquitos and deer flies were both out and about, the intensity varied depending on the spot but I’d say they were moderate overall during the day. We had our headnets on about half the time while traveling.

We went out of the Kawishiwi entry point #37 and camped on Lake Polly. We came out on the 6th. Headnets, picardin/deet lotion, and two thermacells held them at bay, for the most part, on the windless days. When the wind picked up during the day, and the night it dropped into the low 50's they were shut down.

Just got back from a week on Lakes One, Two, and Three. Take your picardin! The mosquitoes aren't too terrible until dusk, but the ankle-biter flies are out in full force.

Just got back from Clearwater. Had some mosquitoes at dusk but not too bad. Take socks as the stable flys ( ankle biters) are vicious.
