I found some open water on a local lake on Saturday. Had to break thin ice for maybe fifteen feet from shore, then a pleasant paddle. Buncha geese standing on the ice watching me and making snide comments...

I was out 5 times near the end of Dec. Bobcat season is on here from Jan. 1 - 11, so I haven't been out this year. Hopefully there'll be some more nice days. Santa brought me a Werner Kalliste I want to try in the Blackwater.

First paddle of 2019, I put in a couple miles this afternoon, for some reason I had the river all to myself but you can't blame the weather....
