missmolly: "Hey, TGO, are you loving retired life? I have to keep working for another 4 years, so I must retire vicariously. "
Hey MM,
Loving it, healing up from a few surgeries so I can be ready to fish the first opener in 35 years.
PS-I feel your pain!! :)

Jim,
It was a pleasure to get a chance to meet you this past June and pick your brain over coffee. It was one of favorite parts of my trip up to Ely. I remember you mentioning the shop was for sale. Much to my disappointment, my wife wouldn't go for it. Something about the weather being different than Orlando. Congrats on the sale and hopefully the new owners will be as genuine as the previous.

What grinds my teeth pert near down to the gums is the fact that Jim hates the "scaly rats," but he's the only bwca.comer who's caught a 24-incher. God is a comedian. "

I thought it was closer to 25 inches, but by pure accident and not with any intent on my part to put that "disease" on my hook!! :)

This is great news! I’m really happy for Jim being able to move into the next phase of his life! Now He can devote more time to creating handcrafted crankbaits called Crapalas, learning to play the accordion and volunteering with the DNC! (Don’t Nock Crankbaits)

So any info on who is taking the reigns on this runaway show horse? We made a deliberate effort to stop every time and buy our bait at TGO's for no other reason than to support the man in charge. (okay also because we could fill up on any liquor we needed without moving the truck, but I digress. Congrats.....

Congratulations Jim! I've really enjoyed the time we've spent in your shop and the instructions you gave my young boys is something they still talk about every time fishing in the BW is the subject. Best wishes with your future endeavors.

Had many health issues from mid August until we closed on September 30th, so wasn't around.
Brian took the reins and carried the shop by himself for which I'll forever be grateful. :)

No I didn't, but may have thought about it IF it wasn't the first year and day, that C&R went into effect in September!!
If I did mount it, would do so only as a trophy as to how much garbage I took out of the lake in one sitting!! Bwahahahahahahahahaha!!!! :)
