Glad you asked! This is a new feature that Adam just implemented in an effort to draw more attention (and readership) to the Trip Reports forum.

There are some fantastic trip reports written, complete with photos, maps, etc., but it always took an extra effort to click on that particular link. Now, thanks to Adam's computer wizardry, any trip reports written in the Trip Report forum, along with any comments made, will automatically get the trip report posted in the Listening Point - General Discussion forum. Enjoy!

I have to weigh in- I don't like it. I'll seek out trip reports when I want them.
The abundance of trip reports is diluting the "General Discussion"."

You do have OCD Dave if this bothers you:) I like it.

They have appeared this weekend. A new feature or a bug?

That is a nice feature. I know I am guilty of rarely going over there lately.

The change has got me reading more trip reports the last few days than normal. Good Addition to the site.

They have the feel of being misplaced. Trip Reports are my winter reading and research tool. The new feature won't alter my habit but hope it'll be helping or entertaining others.

Worked on me!! I just had to see the trip report pictures of the "Irregular Muskies", but they looked pretty normal to me.

Did you not like it when Trip Reports were available in the Trip report forum? Would more people enjoy the Solo Paddler forums if they were also included with the General discussion? Why should we only learn about Gear in a dedicated Gear forum? Wouldn't more people see and enjoy every post if there were no sub forums at all?

One doesn't require OCD to appreciate organization.
