Same here. Mitch contacted me last year and made my bottle coozie. I was within 20 posts of 4000 I believe. A short time later I had lost 300 posts. Had to do with site maintenance I believe.

Yes, I think I lost 200 posts earlier this year. As I rcall, the mods from time to time purge some of the older off-topic threads to free up space on Adam's hard drive or keep the library clean or whatever.
Oh, and congratulations on the big 4000!!

Every so often Adam cleans out the posts on the off topic posts and posts that were deleted. I lost close to 1500. No biggie, it’s only a number. This one too will be deleted.

I while back (several years ago) I got a request from Dicecupmaker as to how I wanted my can or bottle holder to look in regards to my 4000th post on bwca.com. He did a great job!!
Then late last year / early this year I saw my posts had gone under 4000 posts and I wondered to myself how that happened (demerits etc.) than thought it just must be me...
Recently I just went over the 4000th posts (again?) and got the same Dicecupmaker email in which I responded and said "I think I've been through this before and I have your beer bottle holder to prove it).
Anybody else every notice their # of posts at one time or the other decline?

Yes, I noticed earlier this year that my number dropped by a significant amount. I have nowhere near your number of posts, however, and I doubt that I will ever reach the 4000 mark!
